Enforcement
Enforcement of New York's Clean Indoor Air Act (CIAA) is initiated by complaints from the general public. If you are aware of an employer, manager or individual in Tompkins County who is not complying with the provisions of the CIAA by smoking tobacco indoors at a workplace, or allowing others to smoke, or allowing tobacco smoke to enter indoor areas, you may file a complaint with the Tompkins County Health Department's Environmental Health Division (EH.)
