Tompkins Health Benefits Steering Committee

The Health Benefits Steering Committee is a working group of the Tompkins County Council of Governments (TCCOG), which is examining a potential shared approach for employee health insurance for municipalities in Tompkins County. TCCOG is an inter-municipal association which involves all of the county’s 17 municipalities, formed to provide the opportunity to discuss and address common issues.

The Health Benefits Steering Committee, made up of municipal representatives and other community members, is examining development of a health benefits consortium, through which the county’s municipal employers, if they desire, could pool their employee health benefits programs.
