Transportation corridor
planning considers the competing interests of automobile, pedestrian,
transit, and bicycle travel within an area. This involves planning
for each transportation mode (i.e., rail, bike, highway, etc.),
as well as developing plans that address all transportation modes
for a specific road corridor or geographic area. Transportation
corridor planning often focuses on the interface between land use
and the transportation systems for an entire corridor rather than
on a lot-by-lot basis.
