Local banks or developers of affordable housing can form strategic
partnerships with public, private and nonprofit organizations
to create and maintain affordable housing.
One example of this is for builders or banks to form cooperative
relationships with nonprofit organizations so that the nonprofits
can take over the marketing of affordable housing projects or
low-cost loan programs for home purchases for low- to moderate-income
residents. This relationship enables builders or banks to save
on marketing costs in order to help keep housing affordable.
