WRC Recreation Committee

In 2007, the Recreation Committee updated the "It's the Law" brochure for boating on Cayuga Lake in Tompkins County and created the "Paddler Brochure", which provides information on use of the southern end of Cayuga Lake and the Inlet for paddlers and rowers.

The Recreation Committee, in conjunction with the City of Ithaca, planted Bald Cypress saplings along the channel west of Wegman’s parking lot.  The committee was instrumental in having a 5 mph speed limit sign for boaters placed in front of the white lighthouse at the entrance jetty to the Cayuga Inlet.
