American Community Survey

The American Community Survey (ACS) is a new approach to producing information about the characteristics of local communities. Beginning with data collected in 2005, the ACS will release annual estimates of social, housing, and economic characteristics for Tompkins County. For smaller geographic areas, the ACS will accumulate data over 3-year and 5-year intervals to produce estimates for smaller geographic areas including census tracts and block groups. Profiles for Tompkins County are listed below.
