Committee Information:
Tompkins County established
an Affirmative Action Committee in 1985. The committee serves in an advisory
capacity to the Board of Representatives and the County Affirmative Action
Officer. They are responsible for reviewing and updating the County’s Affirmative
Action Plan and Programs, as well as advising the Affirmative Action Officer
and the Board of Representatives on matters relating to Affirmative Action
and Equal Employment Opportunities.
Affirmative Action and Equal
Employment research, laws, changes and community issues are a regular part
of the Committee’s objectives. The Committee assists in the coordination
of action-oriented programs to further the established goals and objectives
of the Affirmative Action Plan.
Tompkins County Affirmative
Action and Workforce Diversification Committee meets monthly. Meetings
