News Details - Celebrate "National Night Out" Tuesday in Newfield!

The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office along with many Newfield community organizations and various law enforcement agencies will be in Newfield Tuesday August 3rd, from 5-8 p.m. celebrating National Night Out.

Many agencies will be participating . In addition to the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office participating Law enforcement agencies include the New York State Police, New York State Park Police, New York State Environmental Conservation Officers and The Ithaca Police/Tompkins County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team.

In addition, the Newfield Fire Department and many Newfield businesses and community organizations will be participating.

There will be many free giveaways, fingerprinting, bike safety demonstrations from Ithaca College Police, and giveaways from Target Department Stores, and a host of various other demonstrations—all designed to enhance community safety and awareness and give crime a big going away party.

A live remote broadcast from radio Station Z95.5 will go on during the event.

Sheriff Peter Meskill urges all area residents “to come out and participate with your neighbors, law enforcement and community organizations and local businesses, as we celebrate National Night Out and give crime a big going away party."
