Brian Robison was elected to the Tompkins County Legislature in November of 2009 to his first elected office. Born and raised in Groton, Brian brings a unique perspective to the Legislature of representing residents in and around the Groton area, many of whom he has known personally for many years, and also being familiar with County and City governments through his public employment career. Robison holds an A.A.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Tompkins Cortland Community College. He was employed for 21 years at the Ithaca City Police Department, retiring in 2005 as the department’s Senior Investigator, and also worked previously at Ithaca College and the Tompkins County Assessment Department. Robison is a member of the Groton Police Commission, President of the Groton Central School Athletic Hall of Fame, and has been a member of the Stonehedges Golf Course for many years. As a legislator, Robison vows to ensure core County services, and to affect these services in the most efficient and fiscally conservative manner possible for all residents of Tompkins County.
