Chair Martha Robertson called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM with
members Jim Dennis, Frank Proto and Tyke Randall present.
1 Resolution: Appropriation from Contingency Fund for
Gadabout – Budget and ridership information from Judy Willis was distributed.
Frank said it appeared to him Gadabout was counting on additional funding,
and he thought it was premature for them to ask for County funding.
[Kathy Luz Herrera arrived at 5:10.] Resolution was moved by Kathy
and seconded by Jim. Passed by vote of 4:1 (Frank).
2 Appointments: Empire Zone Administration Board
– Kathy moved the following slate, which was seconded by Jim:
Chair (Ex-Officio): Ed Marx, Commissioner of Planning
Business: Jean McPheeters and David Sprague
Community Organization: Nels Bohn
Education: Carl Haynes
Financial Institutions: Michelle Benedict-Jones
Organized Labor: Michael Talaski
Zone Resident: Michael Hattery
Kathy and Tyke said they would also like to see residents from other
municipalities in the zone. Ed Marx pointed out the Administration
Board will create bylaws and can create more seats. Frank specified
that by approving the appointments to the Administration Zone, PDEQ is
not in any way approving TCAD’s budget request for additional staff.
Bylaws will establish appointment terms. Slate was approved by unanimous
vote.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:52 PM.
