Mr. Penniman called the meeting to order at 5:18 p.m. He announced the April 23 meeting has been rescheduled to April 30th.
It was MOVED by Ms. McBean, seconded by Mr. Booth, and unanimously adopted by voice vote to approve the following resolution and submit to the full Board:
RESOLUTION NO. - FUNDING OF TOURISM DEVELOPMENT
GRANTS AND APPROPRIATION FROM ROOM TAX FUND
BALANCE
WHEREAS, Tompkins County has a grant program for tourism development
using funds drawn entirely from Room Occupancy Tax, and
WHEREAS, Tompkins County has requested and reviewed grant applications
for recommendation to the Tompkins County Board of Representatives through
the Economic and Workforce Development Committee with the advice of the
Strategic Tourism Planning Board, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, on recommendation of the Economic and Workforce Development
and Budget and Capital Committees, That the following grants are approved:
Cayuga Nature Center – Maple Sugar Festival

Community Arts Partnership – Ithaca Artists’ Market and Holiday
Artists’ Market

Community Arts Partnership – Greater Ithaca Art Trail

RESOLVED, further, That in addition to the $20,000 approved in
the 2002 County budget, an additional $1,300 shall be appropriated from
the Room Tax Fund Balance,
RESOLVED, further, That the County Administrator or designee
shall be authorized to sign any documents related to the aforementioned
projects.
