In conformance with Section 31.18 of the Tompkins County Charter and Code, the purpose of the Committee is to initiate the decennial review of the Charter and Code itself, and make recommendations for revisions and amendments.  The Committee also is charged with reviewing the 2000 federal census figures and redrafting representative districts in accordance with those figures and within the parameters set forth in the Charter and Code.
