Tompkins County Water Resources Council
Est. via Resolution No. 181 of 1997. Restructured
via Res. 57 of 2000 (combined Council and Technical Committee). Pursuant
to Res. No. 57 of 2000 minutes are to be filed in the Board Ofc.; 22 voting
members, 6 ex-officio (non-voting associate members). The term of
office shall be for three years with initial appts staggered so that one-third
of the voting membership expires annually. Tompkins County Legislators
terms shall be for one year. There are no limit on the number of
terms a member may serve.

Function: The Council focuses on identifying
problems, proposing priorities, and promoting coordination of activities
in the development and management of the County’s water resources.
A liaison will also be maintained with regional and neighboring planning
agencies.
