- Chair, Soil and Water Conservation District
Function: The purpose of this Board is to determine
which agricultural lands fit the criteria for inclusion in an agricultural
district and in addition it shall advise the County Legislature and work
with the County Planning Board in relation to the proposed establishment,
modification, continuation, or termination of any agricultural district.
It will also render expert advice as to the nature of farming and farm
resources within any proposed or established area and the relation of farming
in such area to the County as a whole.
