The LRTP provides a twenty-year vision for the metropolitan transportation system and represents the product of an extensive public participation effort. It provides a fiscally constrained program for transportation improvements over the twenty-year life of the plan. In addition, the LRTP provides specific recommendations for additional transportation and related planning activities that should be carried out in order to achieve the Goals and Objectives.
