Religious Structures of Groton

St. Anthony's Church In 1973 14 acres were purchased north of the village at a cost of $12,000 as the site for a new St. Anthony’s Church building. Conrad I. Arnold of Cortland was the architect and groundbreaking ceremonies were held in 1974. The 400-pound cross was placed on top of the church in October 1975. The dedication of the new church was held October 26, 1975. St. Anthony’s Church is located on Route 38, north of the village.
