Religious Structures of Groton
Built in 1870 as the First Baptist Church of Groton at a cost of $20,000, the structure was designed by architect Archimedes Russell of Syracuse, New York, and is located at 204 Cortland Street. In 1966 the Baptist, Methodist, and Congregational Churches joined to become a single congregation utilizing this building. It is now the Groton Community Church.
