Methodist Episcopal Church
The Methodist Episcopal Church at Kennedy’s Corners was organized in 1844 at the "North school house.” Fire destroyed the building in 1917. For a time meetings were held in private residences. The congregation raised $4,000.00, added to $1,706.00 received the insurance company and a year later in 1918 the new church was dedicated. At the time of its centennial (1948) it was part of the Mecklenburg-Enfield parish. 1968-69 the church became part of the four rural church parish of four churches called MECK - Mecklenburg, Enfield, Cayutaville and Kennedy Corners. They attempted to keep all four churches open. The church was officially closed on June 1984 by the Conference of the Methodist Church and is now a private home.
