Getting Serious About ASTHMA

Welcome

Welcome to the Asthma Website of Tompkins County.

Are you wondering if your asthma is in good control? When should you call your doctor? How do you get your spacers covered by your insurance? How do you let your daycare or school know how to take care of your child’s asthma?

These questions and many more will be answered on this website.

This will be a clearinghouse of asthma resources in our area. We will provide asthma information for all people who are living with this condition. Topics will include diagnosis, triggers, management skills, medications and asthma tools. There will be downloadable documents for families, Healthcare Providers, School Nurses, Daycare Providers and coaches.

This site will be a work in progress. We welcome your thoughts and ideas. We will also appreciate feedback on the site as it grows.

Please direct your comments and questions to Sue Olmstead, Asthma Project Coordinator for the Health Planning Council of Tompkins County, at solmstead@hsctc.org.
