Rabies Facts and Upcoming Clinics (Apr 29 2013)

Rabies is a fatal neurological disease that may be transmitted to humans from infected mammals. Thirteen rabies positive animals were identified in six of the county’s nine towns in 2012. There have been two confirmed rabid animals in Tompkins County during the first three months of 2013.

New York State Public Health Law requires all cats, dogs and ferrets to be vaccinated against rabies by four months of age. Failure to vaccinate may result in the loss of your pet!  Protect your pet. Protect your family.
