Introduction

Welcome to the first edition of the Tompkins County Environmental Directory, prepared and published by the Tompkins County Environmental Management Council.

The purpose of this directory is to provide readily accessible information to Tompkins County residents about local agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals that have an environmental focus and provide a service, or serve as an information source. Each organization listed in the Directory includes a phone number, contact person, brief description of the organization's activities, and, where appropriate, a list of services and resources available to the public. We hope the Environmental Directory will be a useful informational tool.

Organizations, agencies, businesses, and individuals whose work focuses on environmental issues and services were asked to submit information for the Directory. Included in this edition is information from those who responded or for whom information was available to the Committee from other sources. Inclusion of groups or individuals listed in the Directory does not constitute endorsement by the Tompkins County Environmental Management Council.
