County residents who are at or
below Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) guidelines can receive free weatherization services,
including furnace replacements, insulation, storm windows and doors, ect.
Both the
Ithaca Housing Authority (IHA) and the TC Action operate rental assistance programs.
The IHA Section 8 Program operates only in the city of Ithaca, while the TC Action Section 8 covers primarily the rural areas of Tompkins County.
