PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                    

              District Attorney Gwen Wilkinson announced today New York State Police Special Investigations Unit in Binghamton, NY, arrested three Ithaca men for sports gambling offenses throughout Cortland, Tioga, and Tompkins counties.

              Jeffrey S. Iacovelli, 136 Troy Road, Ithaca, New York; Carmen Ciaschi, 318 Warren Place, Ithaca, New York; and Todd M. McGill, 330 Nelson Road, Ithaca, New York were each arrested yesterday on one count each of Promoting Gambling in the First Degree.  All three were arraigned in Ithaca Town Court before Hon. David Klein on September 29, 2010. 

              Additional charges and additional arrests are pending. 

NOTE: All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
