PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                    

              District Attorney Gwen Wilkinson announced today that an indictment charging Bradley H. Brown, age 36, with 9 counts was handed up in Tompkins County Court.

              Bradley H. Brown, whose last known address is Elmira, New York, was arraigned in Tompkins County Court, before Hon. Judith A. Rossiter.  Mr. Brown is being charged with two counts of Burglary in the First Degree, two counts of Kidnapping in the Second Degree, one count of Rape in the First Degree, one Count of Aggravated Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree, one count of Assault in the Second Degree, one count of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, and one count of Petit Larceny related to a home invasion in the Town of Lansing on October 16, 2010.

              The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.  Mr. Brown was apprehended in the City of Elmira on October 17, 2010 and is facing charges in Chemung County as well.  The New York State Police Troop C, New York State Police Troop E, Elmira Police Department, and the Chemung County Sheriff’s Department all assisted in the investigation and apprehension of Mr. Brown.
