News Details - Annual Report for Tompkins County Stormwater Permit Available for Review

The annual report for Tompkins County’s stormwater permit is now available for review. Members of the public are invited to ask questions and provide comments on the annual report at the May 21st meeting of the Tompkins County Water Resources Council. This meeting will be held at the Ithaca Tompkins Transit Center (737 Willow Ave.) and will begin at 4:15pm.

In accordance with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Phase II Stormwater State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) permit requirements for small municipal separate storm sewers, Tompkins County is required to develop, implement, and enforce a stormwater management program designed to reduce the discharge of pollutants from County-owned storm sewer systems. The annual report describes the County’s progress in implementing this program.

Copies of the annual report are available in the Tompkins County Planning Department, 121 E. Court Street in Ithaca. For more information, contact the Tompkins County Planning Department at 274-5560 or planning@tompkins-co.org.
