News Details - Broadband Forum in Enfield June 11
The County Legislature’s Special Committee on Broadband will hold another in its series of Community Engagement Forums regarding community needs and opportunities related to high-speed Internet service on Monday, June 11 in the Town of Enfield.
The forum will take place at the Enfield Community Building, 182 Enfield Main Road (Route 327), from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. While the session is focused on Enfield residents, anyone from throughout the County is invited and encouraged to attend.
Since the beginning of the year, the committee has sponsored half-a-dozen similar sessions around the county, asking residents to assist in its effort to determine how broadband Internet access can be achieved for all county residents. The committee is also wrapping up a telephone survey of citizens in areas with little or no high-speed Internet service, conducted through support of the Park Foundation.
Anyone who is unable to attend the forum, but would like to weigh in on the need and benefits of broadband service is encouraged to complete and submit a brief questionnaire, which is available at the Broadband Committee website at
Call the Legislature Office at 274-5434 to request that the questionnaire be sent to you by mail.
Copies of the Committee’s report will be available at Monday’s forum, and also is available online at the committee website.
