Public Information Office

Tompkins County Public Information is a service of the County Legislature and Tompkins County Administration. Information about County issues, actions, services, and programs is conveyed to the public through live television, public meetings, media releases, and the County website. An equally important function of Public Information is to encourage public input on issues of relevance to the 15 elected County Legislators.

Public Information provides programming for Government Access Channel 15, on the Time-Warner cable system. We produce live cablecasts and multiple replays of every Legislature meeting and other government public events throughout the year. Video and audio of Legislature meetings can be found HERE

The County PIO is part of the community emergency response team.
