POSITIONS ELIGIBLE FOR STATE AND/OR FEDERAL REIMBURSEMENT

Effective: January 12, 1981 02-11

Objective:    To establish procedures for filling positions eligible for state and/or federal

Reference:   Resolution No. 98 of 1973 adopted by the Tompkins County Board of

Policy of the Board of Representatives:

1.      No individual is to be approved by the Commissioner of Personnel for any position where

      such individual does not meet the acceptable training and experience outlined in the job

      description.

2.      If a person who has been approved by the local Commissioner of Personnel subsequently

      fails to meet state and/or federal qualifications, and state and/or federal reimbursement is

      denied as a result, the department head, upon becoming aware of the situation, must

      immediately contact the County Administrator to initiate the appropriate action.
