SUBMISSION OF PLANS FOR APPROVAL BY THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT AND/OR THE GOVERNMENT OF NEW YORK STATE

Objective:       To establish County policy regarding authorization for submission of plans which must be approved by the state and/or federal governments

Policy of the Board of Representatives:

1.             All formal written plans prepared by County departments and which require the signature of the chief elected official of the municipality prior to submission, or those plans whose public participation requirements mandate advertising in the municipalities' newspapers of general circulation, must be approved by the Board of Representatives upon review by the County Administrator and the appropriate program committee.

2.             If any aspect of any plans submitted pursuant to #1 above will require the expenditure of County funds, all budgeting policies outlined in this Policy Manual must be followed.
