The Administrative Policy Manual: The Policies and Procedures of Tompkins County Government |

Use the Policy Manual Template to develop or update policies. To initiate a new policy or an update to an existing policy the Legislature or County staff completes an Administrative Manual Change Request Form and sends the suggested modification to the Department of County Administration for determining “responsible department” designation, processing and tracking. Designated county department/division personnel will conduct an Impact Review and submit recommended changes or comments, via the Administrative Manual Impact Review Form, to the Department of County Administration for tracking and dissemination The policies in this manual apply to all departments and administrative units of Tompkins County, excluding the Tompkins County Public Library and Tompkins-Cortland Community College, except where otherwise noted. All policies apply to all employees of Tompkins County, including management and confidential, except as noted. No policy is binding upon any member of the Legislature
unless specifically noted. |
