Services of Our Office

The Tompkins County Office for the Aging is your point of entry into aging services available in Tompkins County.  We provide thorough and unbiased information regarding the vast array of services for older adults and their caregivers.  The following is a list of services provided directly through our office:

 

Better Housing for Tompkins County The mini-home repair program provides health and safety related repairs for seniors and disabled persons in Tompkins County
Foodnet Tompkins County's Meals on Wheels provider offers home delivered meals, congregate meals at 4 locations, nutrition counseling and nutrition education
Lifelong

Tompkins County's Senior Center, offers recreational, educational and health promotion events to seniors, the Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance Program (HIICAP), the quarterly Senior Circle Newsletter, and outreach to seniors in the Northside/Southside of Ithaca

Longview Adult Day Program provides recreational programs, personal supervision, morning and afternoon snacks as well as a hot, nutritious lunch 3 days per week
Long Term Care Services Tompkins County Long Term Care Services is the Point of Entry (NY Connects) for the County, providing comprehensive, unbiased, information about long term care to consumers of all ages. Long Term Care Services also provides assessment, screening, and ongoing casemanagement to consumers.
Women's Opportunity Center Registry Program Provides free listings and referrals for house cleaners, home helpers, live-ins, companions, LPNs and RNs
Southside Community Center
