The College for Lifelong Learning offers continuing educational opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. The program was initiated by the support group for Caregivers of Adults with Developmental Disabilities. The Tompkins County Office for the Aging together with other area agencies developed the College for Lifelong Learning, and started offering classes in the fall of 1998. Course offerings have included: basic automotive repair, birding, computers, cooking, dance, excersise, karate, painting, preparing for employment, sculpture, self-advocacy, sports and fitness, and many more.
