Presentation:

"Looking Down from Above: Mapping Potential Drilling Activity in Tompkins County. The Mapping Work Group is in the process of sharing the following information with municipal officials and residents in Tompkins County".  The presentation is divided into the following sections:

Introduction:

* Task Force on Gas Drilling;

* Photos and image of activities associate with natural gas extraction;

* Pennsylvania gas drilling activity – images from Washington County; maps from Bradford County.

 

Tompkins County and Towns Part A: Well pads uniformly distributed across the land area.  These maps ignore leasing data, setback requirements, and other potential limitations.

Tompkins County and Towns Part B:
* Includes maps of leased lands (information from tcgasmap.org)
* Hypothetical numbers and locations of well pads in each town
* Build-out numbers of land and farmland disturbed, water consumed, chemicals used, flowback, truck trips, and job numbers
